Former Giant manager joins Elevation Outdoors

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Monica Davis, until recently a regional sales manager for Giant Bicycle, has been named publisher of Elevation Outdoors magazine and The titles are owned by Summit Publishing and based in Boulder, Colorado.

Davis has eight years' experience in the bicycle and outdoor industry. For the last four years she has been with Giant's U.S. sales office as regional sales manager with a territory that included Colorado, most of the Rockies and Southern California. She also spent nine years with Michelin North America as marketing & sales manager and IT project manager.  

"I'm excited to be working with Elevation Outdoors and Mountain Gazettes' clients, editorial staff, the team at Summit Publishing, and our passionate readers," Davis said. "Like our readers, I've always been inspired to explore our home state of Colorado and its beautiful surroundings through the informative advertising, and the editorial staff's experienced eyes, photography, video, and blog adventures."  

The hiring of Davis coincides with the redesign of Elevation Outdoors' online presence and a companywide push to expand digital and multi-media offerings in the form of enhanced online content, digital newsletters, online contests and Elevation Outdoors TV.

Davis will work out of Summit's Boulder office alongside Elevation Outdoors' editor-in-chief Doug Schnitzspahn. She will also work as a representative of Outdoor Adventure Media, a nationwide network of regional outdoor lifestyle media brands.
