Lifeboat sells DealerCamp to community leader in Park City

Published September 17, 2013

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN) — Lifeboat Events has sold its DealerCamp to Joe Wrona, an attorney from the event's host community of Park City, Utah.

Wrona, who also is president of the board of trustees of the local public radio station KPCW, plans to combine the dealer event with the ongoing Park City Cycling Festival, which is sponsored by the station. The new event is slated for July 24-27, 2014.

Lifeboat Events' president Lance Camisasca said selling the retailer event will allow his company to focus on its PressCamp events.

"Our PressCamps have really taken off, with two media events already launched for 2014 and several more in development. Lifeboat Events' bandwidth could not stretch enough to do what is needed to shape DealerCamp down the road. Immediately after the 2013 event we set out to find a strategic buyer who could take DealerCamp to the next level it deserves. We couldn't be more pleased to find DealerCamp a proper home right in Park City with Joe and KPCW Radio."

KPCW launched the Park City Cycling Festival in 2011 as a fundraiser for the station. In 2013 the festival attracted more than 2,200 consumers.

The 2014 DealerCamp will start with its two traditional trade days, Thursday and Friday, July 24 and 25, and will be followed by two days of public attendance, Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27. Park City's Deer Valley Resort will once again host the event.
