POC North America plans move from Colorado to Utah next month

Published October 24, 2014

PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — POC is moving its North American office from Aspen, Colorado, to Park City, Utah, in early November.

"Aspen, Colorado, has been good to POC North America, but it has become increasingly evident that a move to Park City will improve our ability to serve our retail and other partners," said POC's director of marketing and promotions for North America, Willie Ford.

"The region is a hotbed for outdoor-enthusiast professionals and, given our plans to expand our U.S. workforce, we will benefit from a strong candidate pool and major transportation hub in Salt Lake City. Paired with its proximity to renowned road and mountain biking, as well as the USSA Center of Excellence, home to the U.S. Ski Team and a number of our sponsored athletes, Park City was an obvious choice as we considered our options for a relocation."

POC's parent company, Black Diamond Equipment, is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The brand expects to expand its U.S. personnel, starting with a U.S. sales manager for its Snow division, which will be filled in the Utah office.
