SRAM hires Spotts in road communications

Published October 27, 2014

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM has brought aboard advocacy and event marketing veteran Ethan Spotts as the company’s new road brand communication manager.

Spotts transitions to SRAM after 10 years with the Chicago-based Active Transportation Alliance, where he led event marketing for five annual large-scale fundraising bike rides. In his new role, he will be responsible for the branding and messaging of SRAM’s road product platforms.

“After working for years with SRAM as a sponsor and advocacy supporter, it’s a dream to lend my experience to a true leader in the global cycling industry,” Spotts said.

“We were fortunate to pluck Ethan from the advocacy side of the industry,” said Chris Zigmont, SRAM’s road brand director. “His experience, enthusiasm and talent will help us continue to polish and publicize our product messages.”
