Kirk Pacenti to close BikeLugs.com after 15 years

Published October 20, 2015

CHATANOOGA, Tenn. (BRAIN) — BikeLugs.com is exactly like it sounds: a one-stop shop for framebuilders looking for lugs, tubing and other framebuilding supplies. Kirk Pacenti, the company's owner, announced last year that he was closing down the company, but another party expressed interest in buying it.

"For the last few months I've been hammering out a deal to sell BikeLugs.com that looked like it would close this week. Unfortunately, in the 11th hour the deal fell through due to lack of funds," Pacenti said. "Some of you may have been contacted by the would-be new owner recently. If you have placed an order with him or gave him any money for an advance purchase, please contact me immediately so that I can get product to you," he added.

Pacenti is liquidating the remaining inventory on hand and will be taking orders for products due to arrive shortly from an earlier lugs and fittings order.

"I will offer free shipping on orders over $300, for all castings and small parts (for CONUS shipments only). Unfortunately, we not able to offer free shipping on any tube sales. If you would like to buy both castings and tubing, please do so in separate orders," he said.

Pacenti's other busienss, Pacenti Cycle Design — a supplier of rims, tire and components — is not affected by the closing of the fame supply business.
