Interbike opens registration for Fall CycloFest

Published April 28, 2016

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Interbike has opened retailer registration for its Fall CycloFest, a trade and consumer festival to be held Oct. 20-23 near Charlotte, North Carolina. The first two days of the event are trade-only.

Interbike said that, for the first two days, CycloFest will be: "a blend of Interbike’s OutDoor Demo, tech seminars, retail education, music and competition."

The weekend days will be open to the public and will include a cyclocross race on Saturday, skills clinics, bike rodeos, and a half century ride on Sunday morning. Additionally a robust music lineup is in the works for Saturday to coincide with a craft beer offering and more – the details of which should be announced in the coming weeks.

Interbike says the location is central for East Coast retailers, minimizing the time and financial investment for shops that want to send their staff. The USNWC is 10 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. It has 25 miles of groomed mountain bike trails, and extensive road riding opportunties in the surrounding area. The facility's other activities include zip lining, SUP, rock climbing, whitewater rafting and more.

“This event is really starting to take shape and there is a genuine buzz out there amongst all of the stakeholders,” said Pat Hus, the vice president of Interbike. “Brands are very excited about connecting with East Coast retailers and their staffs and the opportunity to interact with a significant consumer audience on the weekend fits nicely onto the overall marketing strategies."

Brands including Cannondale, Santa Cruz, SRAM, Fox Racing, Niner, KHS, G-Form, Fuji and others plan to attend. Mechanics can get up to speed on the latest updates to brands such as SRAM, Fox Racing, Campagnolo, FSA and more. Sales and management staff can take part in the many planned sessions by Interbike and the NBDA on ways to grow your business.

The event will include group rides on the road and women's offroad skills clinics with the SRAM Gold Rusch Tour team.
