Ken Meidell named CEO of Dakine

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (BRAIN) — Altamont Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Ken Meidell to CEO at Dakine.

Meidell has more than 15 years experience in executive roles at Outdoor Research and Cascade Designs, and previous positions in technology and consulting with firms such as Ernst & Young and Blue Martini.

Meidell said he is focused on expanding Dakine's presence in the action sports industry as a provider of specialized backpacks, apparel, gloves, packs and bags, and technical accessories across the snow, surf, skate, bike and kite/wind markets.

Altamont Capital Partners is a private investment firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. It bought Dakine in 2013.
