Cyclone Bicycle announces new freight policies

Distributor claims it has the lowest rates in the country.

PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Cyclone Bicycle Supply has released a revised free freight policy that the distributor says provide customers with the lowest freight rates in the country.

The new policy offers freight incentives when purchasers combine bulky, oversized items (BOI) with small parts orders.

The new program reduces the base freight allowance from $500 to $250 in small parts (excluding split shipments which are sent from East/West warehouses). At $500, the BOI allowance kicks in when shipped from the nearest warehouse. Split shipments totaling at least $100 that do not contain BOI items also qualify for free ground freight.

At the $1,200 level, customers will receive free ground shipping when ordering any type of item, including BOI. It applies to split shipments that do not contain BOI.

"Starting with a low minimum, we're offering customers a way to add freight items that individually cost a lot to ship," said Mark Mollenkopf, Cyclone's national sales director. "By lowering the minimum we are able to accommodate bulky freight items in a way that allows our customers to increase their bottom line or boost sales by passing these savings on to consumers."

This freight program does not include international orders. Alaska and Hawaii minimums are $1,000 to qualify for free freight; $1,200 for split shipments.
