American Bicycle Group moves to larger facility

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (BRAIN) — American Bicycle Group, the manufacturer of Litespeed and Quintana Roo bikes, has moved into a newly refurbished building in Chattanooga. The new building, at 40,000 square feet, provides 38 percent more space than its predecessor. The facility houses operations for manufacturing, assembly and corporate offices for LS & QR.

ABG staff completed the move-in mid-June. The facility has room for a new showroom, increases in frame manufacturing capacity, the ability to perform more complete in-house bike building and more inventory space.

"The new headquarters is something we planned for a variety of reasons," said ABG CEO Peter Hurley. "First, we have great plans for the future and needed the space to implement them; and second, we wanted our quick responses to customer's needs to keep pace with important process improvements."

The newly refurbished building puts all functions, operations and offices in a single location and will allow the company to offer public factory tours. "The icing on the cake," according to Hurley, is the fact that the building is just off the Ironam Chattanooga run course and a short distance from the Tennessee River.

The new ABG facility is located at 4216 S. Creek Road in Chattanooga, TN 37206.
