Jagwire enacts MAP policy

Published April 26, 2017

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — Jagwire has initiated a unilateral minimum advertised price policy, which will be enforced across all channels that are authorized to sell Jagwire products. Last year Jagwire eliminated MSRP in favor of a single price as defined in their MAP policy.

Jagwire brand manager Tren Blankenship said, "Jagwire is committed to leveling the playing field with all of our sales partners. Retailers may continue to sell Jagwire products through all channels including third party avenues. However, they are forbidden from advertising any current, non-closeout products below the MAP established by Jagwire."

In a statement, Jagwire said the policies are a way to support its core customers while also promoting the health of the bicycle business overall.

"Specialty retailers create the kind of deeper, more meaningful connection with customers that sets the stage for exceptional experiences and encourages a lifelong passion for cycling," the company said.

Dealers can direct questions and obtain a complete price list from their Jagwire distributor or by contacting Jagwire directly at info@jagwire.com.
