GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Shimano American and Sampson Sports provided a custom road bike for a program that is expected to raise at least $9,000 for the Children's Hospital in Denver.

The $6,500 bike was the grand prize for a promotion that encouraged people at the Courage Classic benefit ride to sign up and use Alpine Bank's new Children's debit card. With each use of the card, the bank donates 10 cents to the hospital.

The custom painted Sampson bike was equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace components. Sampson also provided the fitting and build for the bike.

Sampson said the winner was a Colorado woman who has participated in 17 of the Courage Classic rides.
