SAN DIEGO, CA (BRAIN)—WD-40 Co., whose penetrating oil has been a household name since the 1950s, is launching WD-40 BIKE, a new business unit focused exclusively on cycling-specific maintenance products.

WD-40 BIKE will offer an initial product line including wet and dry chain lubes, a heavy-duty degreaser, a foaming bike wash and a frame protectant. The product range was developed over a year via collaboration among WD-40 scientists, professional bike mechanics and IBDs, and will be rolled out to bicycle retailers throughout the U.S.

The new WD- 40 BIKE line blends our considerable experience with the demands of today’s bike technology to present a comprehensive high-performance maintenance package.”

WD-40 BIKE will makes its public debut next month at OutDoor Demo and Interbike. Orders will be accepted starting at that time, with product shipping to retailers beginning in November.
