Kinetic Trainers adds rollers, branches out into bike accessories

Published August 13, 2014

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (BRAIN) — Kinetic Trainers' 2015 model line will include its first rollers, plus the brand's first bike accessories that are unrelated to its stationary trainer products — a water bottle cage and a seat bag. The brand will introduce the new products at Eurobike and Interbike.

The Kinetic Z-Rollers feature adjustable fit, precision-machined aluminum 3.5-inch x 14.7-inch drums, premium bearings, and ergonomic knobs. The company said the rollers' axles are the strongest on the market. Z-Rollers are ready to ride out of the box and come with an unconditional lifetime warranty. Target MSRP is $309.

"For years, pro riders and customers have asked us for a set of rollers that were lightweight and easy to transport," said David Simpson, Kinetic's marketing manager. "Applying our trainer-design expertise, the new Z-Rollers provide all that, plus the quality and ride we are known for."

Kinetic's new Twenty20 bottle cage can be mounted for left- or right-hand offset loading, or center loading, The cage is made of a polycarbonate composite, weighs 38 grams and will retail for about $15. It will be available in black, white, red or trademark "Kinetic green."

The new Speed Bag saddle bags were designed specifically for use with aero seatposts and triathlon bikes with the saddle mounted far forward, leaving little space for a bag. The Speed Bags use Kinetic's SlideLock Quick Release System to attach the bag to the back of the rails.

Speed Bags are constructed of water-resistant, nylon-covered thermo-molded foam and are available in two sizes: 30 cubic inches and 75 cubic inches. Target MSRP is $40 for the small bag and $45 for the larger option.

Z-Rollers will ship to retailers mid-Fall 2014 and the cages and Speed Bags will be available this winter.
