Published August 15, 2019

MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products has announced the purchase of the Frame Saver brand from Echelon Performance Products.

Frame Saver, originally developed by framebuilder J.P. "Peter" Weigle in the 1990s. Weigle sold it to Echelon a few years ago. While the sale went through several months ago, Frame Saver cans with new Problem Solvers branding are now available from QBP.

Frame Saver is designed to be sprayed on the inside of steel bike frames and forks to protect them from rust and corrosion.

"Frame builders, bike mechanics and riders consider Frame Saver to be the original and best product in its category," said Chris Duerkop, Problem Solvers' brand manager. "We're proud to preserve its trusted, proprietary formula, and to add its name to the Problem Solvers brand."
