Jenson USA now offering fork, shock service

Published January 21, 2022

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Online retailer Jenson USA will provide suspension service, pledging factory-level repair for forks and shocks.

Jenson will service brands like Fox Racing, Öhlins, Cane Creek, DVO, Marzocchi, and Manitou. Full service for RockShox is coming soon, according to the Jenson news release, and the list of supported forks and shocks will continue to grow in the coming months.

"We are all thrilled to bring this new suspension service to our customers," said Mike Cachat, Jenson USA CEO. "Now everyone — regardless of location, skill or access to specialty tools — can have their suspension components serviced by our professional suspension technicians and get their components back to them faster, so they can keep pedaling."

Jenson mechanics are trained at United Bicycle Institute.

The service will start at about $100 for a Seasonal Refresh that includes dust wipers and seals, clean and replace lower leg seals, O-rings, bladder (if applicable), and other components replaced on both the spring and damper. Dampers will be hand-bled, or bled in a vacuum pump (if applicable), followed by a full-functions check, final inspection and cleaning, and reset rebound and compression settings before return.

A Factory Fresh Service includes everything in the Seasonal Refresh and adds in a complete Air Spring Service and Damper Services/Rebuilds.

"Most suspension manufacturers recommend servicing your suspension components at 40-50 ride-hour intervals, but most riders either don't have the time, the tools or the experience to tackle a proper suspension service, and that service offering is what our customers have been asking from us for a while now," said Jenson Suspension Service project leader Tucker Carl. "We are thrilled to bring this new Jenson Suspension Service to everyone, not just pro mountain bike racers or cyclists that have access to dedicated suspension service."

Suspension service can be booked online now.
