Peloton Cycles Opens Second Concept Store

Published September 15, 2008

FORT COLLINS, CO (BRAIN)—Peloton Cycles, a Specialized concept store, celebrated the grand opening of its newest store in Fort Collins, CO last month.

With nearly 500 people in attendance, customers flowed in the doors with much anticipation. Trent Schilousky is very excited about opening his second location.

“The grand opening was just that—grand. My favorite silent comment was made by a customer walking through the door for the first time—wow. Sales have been really solid and I can't wait for the start of the season next year."

The grand opening though isn’t the most impressive portion of Schilousky’s project. Fitting to its prime outdoor recreation and eco-conscious northern Colorado location, the 8,000 square foot building was constructed using environmentally sustainable practices and materials and is currently pending Platinum LEED certification status, the first of its kind in the world.

“We fell that we have an obligation to do the right thing. Being a leader in eco-consciousness has been important to me for a long time and I’m extremely proud to have reflected it in this type of manner,” Trent said.

Featuring natural bamboo flooring throughout the apparel and equipment areas and dual-switching compact fluorescent fixtures that emit only the necessary amount of light, owner Trent Schilousky is very excited about the new store and customers are definitely taking notice as well.
