Minneapolis retailer helping plan Pretti memorial rides nationwide

Published January 27, 2026

MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Angry Catfish bike shop is helping plan and promote a memorial ride this Saturday in Minneapolis, and assisting organizers around the country in holding their own events.

The south Minneapolis shop was frequented by Alex Pretti, a nurse and cycling enthusiast who was killed by Homeland Security agents on Saturday.

"I don’t have a whole list of cities yet, but as of writing this, there are over a dozen participating right now," Jarrod Alder, the store's director of stoke, told BRAIN in an email late Monday.

Angry Catfish is sharing a zip folder of creative assets including copy and art that can be edited to add locations and other specifics to posters, flyers/signs, and social media.

The assets are courtesy of Casey Robertson of Robertson Design. Besides Angry Catfish, other supporters and sponsors of the Minneapolis ride include Bonesaw Cycling Collective, GenoSack, Melanin In Motion, The Price Brothers, Unsanctioned Ride group and others.

"We’re asking folks to host rides and come together. Bike shops and non-profits, cycling orgs and alt cycling collectives, city and rural. We are many but we stand together as one," the shop said in a social media announcement.

Organizers can contact Community@angrycatfishbicycle.com for more information.

Organizers are sharing artwork that can be customized for regional events.
