MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (BRAIN) — Participation in team sports by children age 7-17 showed a 5.8 percent decline last year according to the latest data released by the National Sporting Goods Association.

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Upscale mountain bike clothing maker Kitsbow is working with glove maker Mechanix Wear on a new line of mountain bike gloves that will be launched later this year. Kitsbow plans to offer two models of riding gloves with Mechanix branding.

ZURICH (BRAIN) — Andreas "Andy" Rihs, the owner of the BMC bike company and its pro race team, died Wednesday at age 75, according to the brand. Reports say Rihs was suffering from cancer.
