German lock brand Abus brings helmets to North America

Published November 7, 2013

CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN) — German manufacturer Abus is known to U.S. and Canadian retailers for its heavy duty locks. But the company sells much more than bike security in its home market and across Europe, and is now bringing helmets to North America.

The company announced that Lambert is now the exclusive distributor for its 2014 helmet line in Canada.

Abus’ helmets range from high-end commuter helmets featuring Scottish wool plaids, genuine leather and urban styling to entry-level children's helmets complete with fun graphics for all ages. The company also has a model with sunglasses that retract into the helmet, which won it a Eurobike award.

The company said it’s finalizing plans for distribution of its helmets to the U.S. market.
