Lizard Skins hires Ross in international sales

Published February 6, 2014

OREM, Utah (BRAIN) — Mountain Bike Hall of Famer and 16-year industry veteran Nat Ross has joined Lizard Skins as international sales executive.

A decade-long member of the Gary Fisher World Cup Racing Team, Ross was the first pro racer to win both national and world championships on 29-inch wheels. He transitioned from his race career in 2008 to the role of marketing consultant at New Belgium Brewing, where he worked on cycling events and promotions. He has also worked in sales and marketing at Fizik and, most recently, POC, where he managed the North American sales force for bike.

At Lizard Skins, Ross’ primary role will be to manage sales to European distributors and OEMs. He will visit IBDs in Europe—Lizard Skins’ largest market—with its overseas distributors and also make the rounds at dealers in Colorado, said company president Brian Fruit.

“Nat Ross brings a wealth of knowledge to our team and we're excited to welcome him to the Lizard Skins family,” Fruit said. “He has experienced the cycling industry from a variety of environments and roles, ultimately earning a spot in the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. His extensive sales and marketing background combined with his roots in racing made him the ideal candidate for Lizard Skins.”
