SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — BionX, Currie Technologies, Pete's Electric Bikes, Prodeco and other electric bike suppliers have committed to a presence at Charged Up, a first-time electric bike and outdoor technology media event planned for New Jersey next month. The event is being organized by Interbike and Outdoor Retailer; Bicycle Retailer & Industry News is a supporting sponsor.
The event is intended to bring together non-sports media — titles like Wired, Esquire, Mashable, Vogue and others — with the top brands in electric bikes and portable outdoor technology, including portable power, safety, fitness gear and wearable technology. Besides the brands mentioned, Leatherman, Led Lensor, Ascent Solar Technologies/EnerPlex, GoalZero, D.Light Designs, Celliant and others have signed on to participate.
Other sponsors include PeopleForBikes and the Outdoor Industry Association, each of which will present detailed trend data as it relates to the e-bike and outdoor technology categories.
The event is May 14-15 at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, N.J.
