"Snowmageddon" quickly turned to "Nomageddon" in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—Despite a shutdown of the federal government here ahead of an approaching snowstorm Wednesday, advocates attending the National Bike Summit this week took to Capitol Hill to meet with legislators and aides to improve safety for cyclists, among other goals.

The League is announcing the grant for the Women & Bicycle program, on the eve of the National Women's Bicycling Forum held here on Monday.

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — A new research study is underway at Portland State University to measure the impact of protected bike lanes or “green lanes. The study is collecting quantitative data to examine ridership, safety and the economic impact of green lanes in six major U.S. cities.
