New wholesale platform will make PPE readily available to all organizations in need

Asheville, NC – May 20, 2020 – Supply Connector partners with outdoor industry wholesale site College Outside to create The GoodsConnector in an effort to help equip outdoor communities who are beginning to reopen. The complimentary e-commerce platform gives manufacturers additional opportunities to sell their PPE and cleaning goods to all organizations in need of smaller volume purchasing options to keep employees and customers safe. Both platforms are part of a partnership of “Connector” sites that the team intends to continue growing to meet current demands and challenges faced by outdoor industry retailers, communities, and manufacturers.

The GoodsConnector team urges businesses who will need to purchase PPE to pre-register now on the site, which can be found HERE, to be ready for when the site opens in early June and to receive first-in-line access to PPE products that are currently available. Working with Supply Connector, manufacturers who are producing PPE and other necessary COVID-19 cleaning goods will be connected to the GoodsConnector and can register their finished products to be sold on the site HERE.

The GoodsConnector, a wholesale B2B e-commerce platform, will make it easy to shop for and purchase PPE, and will help manufacturers manage sales via drop ship in varying quantities. This partnership allows public-facing businesses to pre-register now to purchase the supplies they need to return to business safely. Manufacturers are currently being vetted and set up in the system. The platform also allows manufacturers to continue connecting with buyers and aiding public-facing businesses as they prepare to reopen.

“Through pre-registrations, we will be able to provide more accurate demand-forecasts to manufacturers who are shouldering the risk and strain of manufacturing PPE products for their communities,”  states Sarah Lockwood of The GoodsConnector and Founder and CEO of College Outside. “You should pre-register if you are a business, non-profit, or organization that may need to purchase protective equipment for your staff and customers in the coming months.”
