CARLSBAD, Calif. – Sept. 3, 2020 – Selle Italia, the venerable Italian manufacturer of bicycle saddles, unveiled a new, sleek and modernized company logo in Asolo, Italy last night at a celebration of the 80th birthday of Giuseppe Bigolin, its longstanding president.

The new logo is more linear and consistent with the stylistic code of the company. It features slightly inclined letters that indicate forward movement, the pursuit of performance, and speed – typical characteristics of cycling, but also of the 123-year-old Selle Italia brand, which has always been dedicated to innovation. It replaces the prior logo in all corporate, digital, and product branding moving forward.

"The remake of our logo is part of a very specific strategic development plan that has seen Selle Italia implement and renew its target by investing heavily in digital and commercial and marketing policies aimed at increasing our online presence," said General Manager Nicola Baggio. "The message transmitted by the brand has, therefore, a precise value in the company strategy to make the brand on the one hand more and more recognizable and on the other more modern and current."

Cycling luminaries including Francesco Moser - a personal friend of the Bigolin family, Gianni Bugno, Claudio Chiappucci, Filippo Pozzato, Dino Zandegù, Gianni Motta, and the coach of the Italian national team, Davide Cassani, attended the socially-distanced party at the Asolo Golf Club with the Bigolin family, numerous friends, and the staff of Selle Italia.

The guest of honor, Giuseppe Bigolin, reflected on his history with the company, saying, "When I took over the company in the 1970s, I never expected such a success - and if I look back, I can say that I am really satisfied with the objectives and goals - even sporting ones - that we have reached. This is an important birthday for me, surrounded by my family, friends and all our work group. I couldn't ask for anything better!"
