Sold-out event returns with one-day ride and race format, new courses, a stacked pro field and expanded weekend programming

Steamboat Springs, Colo., June 16, 2026 – SBT GRVL® presented by Wahoo returns to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, June 26–28, 2026, for a weekend-long celebration of gravel cycling, community and summertime in the Colorado Rockies.

While the 2026 ride and race are sold out, the weekend offers plenty of ways for fans and visitors to take part, including the reimagined Friday Night MTN CLMB p/b Ventum followed by a concert at the base of Steamboat Resort on Friday, June 26, and the new SBT TRL Running Race on Saturday, June 27, along with a full schedule of downtown festivities.

"What makes SBT GRVL special is that it's much more than a bike race," said Amy Charity, Founding Partner and CEO of SBT GRVL®. "Every year riders travel from around the world to experience the roads, scenery, hospitality and energy that make Steamboat Springs one of the most iconic destinations in gravel cycling. Bringing everyone back together in downtown Steamboat for one unforgettable day of racing and celebration captures the spirit of the event and the experience riders have come to know and look forward to each year."

Sunday’s pro race sets the stage for a standout day of racing, bringing together past SBT GRVL® champions and top international gravel pro riders across stacked men’s and women’s fields. Gravel racing fans can expect a marquee showdown in Steamboat Springs amongst the biggest names in the sport.

For the women’s race, former SBT GRVL® winner Sofía Gómez Villafañe enters as one to watch in a talented field that also includes fellow SBT GRVL® champions Melisa Rollins, Lauren Stephens and Lauren De Crescenzo, along with top contenders Tiffany Cromwell, Cecily Decker, Cécile Lejeune, Alexis Skarda, and IRONMAN World Champion Chelsea Sodaro.

The men’s field is equally competitive, led by three-time SBT GRVL® winner Keegan Swenson and defending SBT GRVL® champion Brennan Wertz, along with top contenders Cobe Freeburn, Simon Pellaud, Adam Roberge, Peter Stetina and Alexey Vermeulen. Together, they create a deep field of riders capable of battling for the podium. See the full pro start list here.

Racers and riders will experience new 2026 SBT GRVL® presented by Wahoo courses that showcase the scenic rural beauty of Routt County, combining favorite sections from past years with entirely new segments. The new 108-mile Black Course is the signature race for professionals and amateurs alike and will feature separate starts for Elite Men/Open, Elite Women and amateur categories, along with a rolling safety enclosure at the front of each group. A $22,000 prize purse will be split evenly between the Elite Men/Open and Elite Women fields. The Blue, Red and Green courses also include new segments, signature Champagne gravel and rolling hills through Colorado ranch country. Course details are available here.

GRVL® Femmes also returns in 2026 with more than 100 amateur female cyclists to compete for cash and prizes. Now in its second year, the GRVL® Femmes Team Challenge features a $3,000 prize purse for the top three fastest amateur women’s teams racing the Black Course. Teams riding the Blue, Red or Green courses can compete in the Best Team Theme GRVL® Femmes Challenge, with awards recognizing the most creative or cohesive team name, strategy, kit or theme. Winners will receive gift certificates to local businesses F.M. Light & Sons and Mountain Tap Brewery.
