Downieville Classic

The Downieville Classic is a weekend of racing and partying in the Sierras where riders have to pick one tool for two disciplines: a 29-mile cross-country race and a 15-mile downhill with 5,000 feet of vertical drop. Downieville is most famous for its races, and riders come to prove themselves hardened and unbreakable. The Downieville Classic cross-country race is one of the last remaining point-to-point bicycle races in the United States.

Developed by the mayor of London and his agencies in 2013, Prudential RideLondon is a festival of cycling. The event is managed by the London & Surrey Cycling Partnership (LSCP), a partnership between London Marathon Events Limited (owners and operators of the London Marathon since 1981) and SweetSpot Group Limited (operators of the Tour of Britain). More will be invested than ever before to create more safe, easy and well-connected cycle routes across the city to encourage more healthy and active travel.

Crankworx Whistler

August 9, 2019 to August 18, 2019

Born in Whistler, B.C., in 2004, Crankworx has evolved into a multi-stop international festival series, bringing together the best mountain bike athletes to compete in elite-level competitions in a variety of disciplines, as well as hosting races for amateurs, Kidsworx contests for young riders, participatory events, and celebrations of mountain bike culture, all while showcasing amazing destinations.

Leadville Trail 100 MTB

Date: August 10, 2019

This is it, the race of all races. One hundred miles across the high-altitude, extreme terrain of the Colorado Rockies, this event was created for only the most determined athletes. Starting at 10,152 feet and climbing to 12,424 feet, you’ll be challenged to catch your breath — while the views try to take it away.

Breck Epic

August 11, 2019 to August 16, 2019

The Breck Epic is composed of six big backcountry loops (three loops for the three-day Epic-curious events), each between 35 and 50 miles long. The event is unique in that it employs a cloverleaf format: Each loop starts and finishes within a mile from downtown Breckenridge and utilizes the sprawling network of trails in both Summit and Park counties. The six stages that compose the Epic are a well-rounded rider’s dream.

Tour of Utah

August 12, 2019 to August 18, 2019

The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is a 2.HC-rated UCI stage race, making it one of the top professional cycling events in North America. Showcasing some of the world’s most prestigious teams and cyclists for seven days in August, this event now attracts worldwide attention as the top international cycling event that follows the Tour de France.

Outerbike Crested Butte

August 16, 2019 to August 18, 2019

Western Spirit Cycling has partnered with Crested Butte Mountain Resort to provide a summer Outerbike demo event in one of the birthplaces of the sport. Crested Butte has always been high on the bucket list for hardcore riders, but now the new Evolution Bike Park has something for everyone. Hop on the lift to test the latest and greatest bikes on the classic Crested Butte rides, or ride the fun new trails for everyone at the base area. Repeat as needed. Ride your little heart out, soak up the impressive mountain views, then relax with a tasty beverage at the end of the day.
