PinkBike and Trek team on raffle to support NICA

Published March 21, 2016

SQUAMISH, British Columbia (BRAIN) — PinkBike.com is holding a raffle for a Trek Fuel EX9 to support the National Interscholastic Cycling Association.

Each $5 donation to NICA through the PinkBike program buys a chance to win the bike. Donations are being accepted through April 15 and the winner will be announced in late April. Proceeds go to continuing development of new and existing NICA leagues throughout the U.S. Trek will ship to the nearest dealer to the winner for build and pickup. Trek covers the build fees.

NICA now has 19 leagues. PinkBike announced last July that it was teaming with NICA to support its efforts. Karl Burkat, the CEO of Pinkbike, said, "NICA ensures continued business success for everyone serving the cycling market: today's young rippers are the future adult enthusiast customers. We're proud to support NICA with fundraising and promotional efforts as they continue to pursue their mission."

Austin McInerny, the executive director of NICA, said, "We'd like to offer a huge thank you to Pinkbike and Trek for their support. Having the power of such a large media brand along with Trek behind us will help us continue to share our work in the mountain bike community, and welcome new participants and supporters to NICA."
