Published June 13, 2013

NEWBURY PARK, CA (BRAIN) — Some of the bikes that Liv/Giant has donated to the Afghan National Women's Cycling Team, along with other cycling gear collected by bike shops and other groups, has arrived in Afghanistan.

Humanitarian Shannon Galpin and the filmmakers for “Afghan Cycles” show how they delivered hundreds of pounds of donated clothing and gear to the team in a video released this week. The initial delivery included five Avail Composite 1 road bikes donated by Liv/Giant. Liv/Giant will send more bikes to the team when Galpin returns to Afghanistan in October.
