LEAMINGTON, England (BRAIN) — Hiplok has named Ian Manning head of sales as part of an expansion at the U.K.-based maker of wearable locks.

Manning will join the company in February from distributor Upgrade Bikes, where he is sales manager. At Hiplok, he will be responsible for growing sales both domestically and internationally, the company stated.

"We're thrilled to have Ian on board. Having represented such well-respected brands as Lezyne and DMR (both distributed by Upgrade), and with over 20 years of experience in driving sales growth across the cycle and leisure industries, we believe Ian will be instrumental in taking our business forward," Hiplok co-founder Ben Smith said.

Manning said, "I bought my first Hiplok in 2013 and was immediately impressed by its design and function and have become a big fan and advocate of the brand since. I'm really delighted to be joining the Hiplok team at such an exciting time and I look forward to becoming pivotal in their long-term success."
