Giant's June revenues up 16%, while Merida and Ideal revenues are down

TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Giant Group’s operating revenue in June was nearly 16% higher than in the same month last year, according to a statement the company filed with the Taipei stock exchange on Thursday. 

The company’s revenue in the month was NT$5.8 billion ($179 million), up 15.98% from June 2025. It was the second consecutive month of sales growth, following a May filing showing a 5.8% increase. Fellow Taiwanese bike makers Ideal Bike and Merida Industry had also reported sales increases in May, but both those companies saw declines in June.

Giant's year-to-date revenues are down 10.5%.

The monthly operating revenue statements do not show profitability figures. 

Merida reported June operating revenue of NT$2.4 billion, down 5.5% year-over-year. Merida’s year-to-date revenues are down 15.3%.

Ideal Bike reported June operating revenue of NT$230 million, down 3.3%. Ideal’s year-to-date revenues are down 19.8%.
