Bombtrack offers Hook 1 cyclocross bike, with chromoly frame

Published December 28, 2015

AMES, Iowa (BRAIN) — North America Cycles is now offering the Bombtrack Hook 1 cyclocross bike, which features a frame made with high quality Japanese Sanko chromoly tubing, with the front triangle made of heat-treated tubing.

The Hook 1 has the same geometry as Bombtrack's original Hook frame.  The geometry and large diameter tubes and BB30 hubshell help create a solid and stable feel. The larger oval section chain stays allow for a stiffer connection to the rear axle, as well as providing more mud clearance around the tires. The carbon fiber fork with tapered steerer tube helps to provide more direct handling as well as keeping the front-end weight down.

The Sram Apex group offers an 11-32 cassette and 50-34 chainring. The bike features Mavic Crossride wheels with double sealed cartridge bearings and rims with reinforced spokeholes.

Braking is provided by TRP Spyre disc calipers with a dual action system. MSRP is $1,899.
