Santa Cruz offers aluminum versions of its Bronson, 5010 and Tallboy mountain bikes

Published July 13, 2016

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — For the 2017 model year, Santa Cruz is offering aluminum-frame versions of some of its most popular mountain bike models, the 5010, Bronson and Tallboy. The new alloy frames allow lower prices: the aluminum 5010 with Santa Cruz' D-level build kit will retail for $2,600, for example.

The alloy framesets also are available separately, retailing for $1,900. Other product line updates for 2017 include new colors and updated build kits and component offerings.

The 110mm-travel Tallboy, which launched earlier this year with three build kits and one frame material, is now available in a dozen configurations, with two levels of carbon fiber frame and one aluminum frame option.
