FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN)—Eurobike announced the winners of the Eurobike Awards 2008 yesterday evening on the Fashion Show stage. This year's competition attracted a record 362 entries from 27 countries—up substantially from last year's 269 products.

ARGENBUEHL, Germany (BRAIN)—Crankbrothers’ founding partner Andrew Herrick will call Europe home following Eurobike. Herrick will work with the Selle Royal family of brands out of Selle Royal’s office in Vicenza, Italy. Selle Royal and Crankbrothers merged in February.

CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN)—SRAM Corporation has updated its general management and sales structure in Europe.

It was announced at Eurobike that Martin Van Beek, general manager of SRAM Europe, has elected not to accept an evolved general management role and will exit the company.

ARGENBUEHL, Germany (BRAIN)—Stefan Reisinger was all smiles at the entrance to the Eurobike Demo Day yesterday morning. Reisinger, Eurobike’s project manager, was pleased with the warm and sunny weather and the strong turnout of dealers who showed up to test-ride bikes.
