MONTEREY, CA (BRAIN)—On-Line camping reservations for the 2009 Sea Otter Classic will open on Saturday Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. (PST).
KAILUA-KONA, HI (BRAIN)—The Ford Ironman World Championship Demo Days presented by Triathlete magazine kicks off today at noon, running through Friday. Demo Days will be held inside the Ford Ironman Village at Hale Halawai in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive.

FERNDALE, WA (BRAIN)—A new cycling industry partnership between Cannondale Sports Group and Bohle Group GmbH/Schwalbe North America was finalized on the floor of Interbike 2008.
BETHESDA, MD (BRAIN)—A five-hour public hearing held by the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday cleared up some of the confusion surrounding how the bicycle industry will comply with the new product safety law, but questions still remained after the marathon meeting.

Last Thursday at Interbike, during SRAM's booth "Happy Hour," the company did a dealer promotion giving away a HammerSchmidt equipped bike. "Who knew serving free beer and giving away killer product would attract so many people?" said SRAM's Eric Schutt.
