LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN)—Venetian and Palazzo resorts' owner is planning a new convention center that could open by 2010.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. said it had filed plans with Clark County to build a 1.2 million square-foot facility. It could cost about $680 million and offer as many as 7,000 hotel rooms.

ANAHEIM, CA (BRAIN)—Chumba Racing has expanded its legal staff to include Erika Brenner, a former paralegal at an intellectual property law firm.

Brenner will be working with the company’s general counsel, Alan Kang, to assist in patent and trademark filings, disputes, and any other legal matters.

Sgt. Robbs will use it to ride in the 2008 Police Unity Tour, a fund-raising bike ride from Florham Park, New Jersey, to the National Police Memorial in Washington, D.C.
