BRAIN Adds Home Page Features

Published September 14, 2009

LAGUNA HILLS, CA (BRAIN)—BRAIN has revamped its home page, adding more interactive components to the leading Web site for industry news.

New additions on the right side of the home page include a video player for staff produced interviews and industry created content and a preview area for recent blog entries that links directly to the BRAIN Blog.

Launched this year, the BRAIN Blog allows staff writers to add multiple links and photos to a single post, providing more visual representation of products, people and events. Readers will now be able to see when BRAIN editors have posted new blog entries directly from the home page.

The new features should give readers even more reason to visit the BRAIN Web site, which averages 35,000 unique viewers per month.

“The redesign offers more dynamic features that we will harness to provide our loyal readers with quick links to multimedia coverage of trade shows and events this season and throughout the year,” said BRAIN editor Megan Tompkins.

The new layout also adds Web advertising buttons, giving advertisers more places to reach a targeted retail audience on the home page.

“We're experiencing unprecedented double-digit growth with traffic and pages viewed on our Web site, as such, we've compensated by expanding the number of advertising spots available to our prospective clients,” said Robert Torrico, BRAIN associate publisher, sales. “The new additions to our site provide them with more diversified options.”
