CHATTANOOGA, TN (BRAIN)—American Bicycle Group (ABG) is adding Tim Lane, who will join ABG’s design team as a consultant.

"This is a great move for us," said CEO Peter Hurley. "The rapid growth of our Litespeed and Quintana Roo lines has been driven and will be sustained by our continued commitment to bringing cutting edge design to the market. We’re currently working on many different projects for our road and triathlon brands, and Tim’s background in this area will allow us to continue to innovate and produce bikes that are at the forefront of the market.”

Lane has developed, designed and engineered some of the worlds most advanced bicycle frames and components for all bicycle market segments, including flagship aerodynamic road
and time‐trial racing bikes. Lanes’s most recent assignments have been with Felt Bicycles. Lane led the development of Felt’s award winning aerodynamic DA and AR bikes.

I’m excited about this opportunity," Lane said. "I have always admired Quintana Roo, and I’m looking forward to using my extensive design and engineering experience to further develop and strengthen the position of a Triathlon specific brand in the U.S. and international markets.

"Quintana Roo is a brand that occupies a unique position in the triathlon market," he said. "I’m looking forward to my role with American Bicycle Group in creating the next
generation tri bike.”
