IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — The National Bicycle Dealers Association's 2026 Specialty Bicycle Retailer Report, which offers insight into the challenges, operations, and outlook of the North American market is now available for download.
Areas examined include financial performance, inventory, staffing, marketing, technology adoption, and business outlook. Combined, the NBDA says they give a clearer picture of retailer decisions made and future opportunities.
"Retailers ask us, 'What are other shops doing? Are they facing the same challenges? Where are they finding success?' These studies help answer those questions," said NBDA Executive Director Heather Mason. "Every response helps us better understand this profession, support the people doing the work, and make a stronger case for the value of specialty bicycle retail."
According to the NBDA, retailer participation is essential to this understanding. By sharing experiences, the survey respondents contributed to a collective resource that can support informed decisions and a stronger industry. The report is available for $49 for members and $199 for non-members. Retailers not yet an NBDA member can join now for 2027 and receive the remainder of 2026 at no additional cost.
