RAPID CITY, S.D. (BRAIN) — Strider Bikes recently released its Baby Balance Bike, part indoor toy, part balance bike for babies up to 18-months-old.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, sensory play during "tummy time" helps develop language skills, fine and gross motor skills, and build important neural pathways. The Baby Balance Bike, according to Strider, sparks curiosity with its tactile feel, including raised letters, numbers and shapes on the wheels. Upon graduating to sitting, they'll spin the wheels and twist the bumpy handlebars, exploring how the bike works.
When learning to stand and walk, the Baby Balance Bike accelerates full-body coordination as an assisted walking toy, according to Strider. The bike's wheels and the baby's feet on the ground provide four points of contact that help them learn balance. Weighing 2.4 pounds, the bike also features no-scratch tires to allow for full indoor use.
The Strider Baby Balance Bike is now available for $69.99 at StriderBikes.com and on Amazon.
