New lifestyle cycling mag hits the stands

Published March 2, 2012

VANCOUVER, BC (BRAIN) Mar 2, 13:02 MT—Momentum Magazine, a lifestyle cycling magazine, has transitioned from being a free publication to a newsstand magazine with a cover price of $4.95. The first issue hit newsstands March 1.

“Our small team has worked incredibly hard to bring Momentum Mag to the 100-page newsstand magazine that it is today,” said publisher Mia Kohout. “It is exciting to see the bike industry take more interest in city riding, commuting and, most importantly, women. We feel our publication is starting to show its potential as the leading lifestyle magazine in the cycling marketplace and we are even more excited about the path ahead.”

Advertising revenue for Momentum has increased 100 percent since March 2011 thanks to the recent redesign of the magazine and the move to the newsstand, Kohout said.

The magazine will be published bimonthly. A digital edition is available on the Web.

The publication also has a new website and a new URL for it. Instead of momentumplanet.com, the site is now at momentummag.com
