CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Masi is hosting a series of events here over the weekend of July 30-31. The events are co-sponsored by Campagnolo USA.
The events include two screenings of "Breaking Away" on Saturday — at 1 p.m. And 3:30 p.m. at the Carlsbad Village Theater. Dennis Christopher, the movie's star, will participate in a Q&A after the screenings.
Also on Saturday, starting at 4 p.m., Masi will launch its "90 Years of Masi Brand History" book. The event will be at the Pacific Palisades Resort in Carlsbad, where the brand will also stage a vintage Masi Museum, with refreshments and special guests. A MASI Gran Criterium from "Breaking Away" will be among the bikes on display.
On Sunday, Campagnolo USA will sponsor a supported ride along the San Diego coast to support the Pablove Children's Cancer charity. Three individual routes available. The ride is free, although donations to Pablove are encouraged.
The weekend will also feature raffles with prizes from Spy Optics, Prana and others. All raffle proceeds benefit the Pablove Foundation.
