FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) —Pedego plans to accelerate its growth on the East Coast with the appointment of dealer development specialist Ryan Maccione.

The company has 85 branded stores nationally, including 40 on the East Coast. It said it plans to have 200 stores nationally by the end of 2017 and 500 by 2020.

Maccione is charged with opening dozens of new Pedego stores along the Eastern seaboard and assisting existing dealers.

Pedego CEO and co-founder Don DiCostanzo said, "Our dealers are devoted to providing Pedego bikes to a high-demand market all over the country. Ryan will provide East Coast support that makes owning a Pedego store in the East even more fun than before."

Maccione comes to Pedego with 18 years of sales and marketing experience where his primary expertise has been in dealer development, sales, marketing, management and business development. For nearly a decade, he ran the sales and finance departments for Bridgeport Harley-Davidson, Connecticut's largest motorcycle dealership. He also owned a Segway dealership and was a brand manager for A2B Electric Bikes.
