Bonk Breaker supports Chris Lieto's More Than Sport program

Published October 3, 2016

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bonk Break will donate two meals to a child in need for every box of Bonk Breakers bars sold in a new program with More Than Sport, an organization founded by professional triathlete Chris Lieto. The multi-year agreement extends far beyond providing meals and includes efforts to find sustainable ways to help solve nutrition problems around the world.

"While Bonk Breaker has been known for providing the best real food solutions for elite athletes, our broader mission is to make healthy nutrition accessible to those who need it the most. In partnering with More Than Sport, we will contribute roughly two meals to those in need for each box of bars sold under our initiative together, with the goal of providing a million meals to those in need," said Chris Frank, Bonk Breaker's chairman and co-CEO. "With More Than Sport, our top priority is to provide better nutrition and living conditions to those in need all around the world whether it's one person or a million."

More Than Sport's aim is to transform lives around the world by providing nutrition, clean water, medical care, education, and housing for those in need.

Lieto said, "A partnership between More than Sport and Bonk Breaker is a perfect match. I've been a true fan of Bonk Breaker's authentic, real food philosophy for some time, and knowing that we have joined forces to achieve goals that transcend business and sport is a special feeling."
