Velofix Minnesota plans grand opening party for Thursday

Published January 31, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (BRAIN) — The owners of VeloFix Minnesota, who eventually plan to operate Velofix vans throughout the state, will hold a grand opening party this Thursday in conjunction with a local Mercedes Sprinter dealership.

The event is at 6 p.m. at the Sears Imported Autos Mercedes Sprinter location, just west of Minneapolis.

"This event will provide you the opportunity to learn more about Velofix and the roll-out plans for Minnesota as we strive to fuel your passion for cycling," Velofix Minnesota said.

Al Watts, the owner of the Minnesota franchise, said the joint event with the Sprinter dealer will promote Velofix as well as the various applications of the vans. Velofix franchisees buy the operation's trademark custom vans through a Sprinter dealer in California and take delivery through local Sprinter dealers. Watts said the two businesses saw an opportunity for a joint promotion.

The event will include bike demos, product introductions, and giveaways including a chance to win a new Elby e-bike worth $3,600.
