ASI consolidates California warehouses at new facility

New Santa Fe Springs facility will replace current Long Beach and Huntington Beach warehouses and will serve ASI and Performance.

PHILADELPHIA (BRAIN) — ASI is leasing a 68,000-square-foot facility in Santa Fe Springs, California, that will replace its current offices and warehouse in Huntington Beach as well as a warehouse in Long Beach. The new facility will warehouse and distribute bicycles for Performance Bicycle stores as well as ASI dealers.

The move is underway; the Huntington Beach location, which ASI took over after it acquired the Phat Cycles brand in 2015, has been vacated completely, said Evan Barnebey, ASI's director of operations. The company is in the process of moving product out of the Long Beach warehouse. All inbound shipments are being delivered to Santa Fe Springs, and outbound shipments will go out of both facilities until the move is complete. All product should be in Santa Fe Springs by the end of February, Barnebey said.

"ASI will be able to provide a higher level of service for our customers, while decreasing costs and tightening controls by combining the West Coast warehousing operations in one facility," Barnebey said.
