Published January 9, 2018

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (BRAIN) — Seattle Cycles has launched its new MetroBike electric folding bike model at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018.

The comapny said the bike weighs less than 30 pounds and will be offered in a crowdfunding campaign later this year, with aluminum and titanium frame options. It uses a 250-watt rear hub motor integrated with controller and sensors. Battery capacity is adaptable for a range of 20 to 50 miles.

Mike Yap, the designer of MetroBike, said, "The MetroBike is a lightweight, compact electric bicycle that is great to ride. It is a prime example of an emerging class of electric bikes particularly adapted to the challenges of urban transportation, such as narrow shared paths, steep city streets, tight living spaces, lack of parking facilities, and risk of theft."

At CES, Seattle Cycles is displaying at Booth 52635, in the Sands, Hall G  (Eureka Park Marketplace). More information at seattle-cycles.com.
