CHICAGO (BRAIN) — John Cheever, an engineering leader at SRAM since soon after the company's founding, has died at age 50 after a three-year battle with brain cancer, the company announced Wednesday.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN) — A March 10 U.S. Supreme Court ruling could make it harder to build biking or hiking trails on abandoned railroad corridors. But a Rails To Trail Conservancy spokesman said the effect on recreational path development will be limited.

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — CamelBak's sales for 2013 were $139.9 million, a decrease of $17.7 million compared to its sales of $157.6 million in 2012. Sales of hydration systems fell $17.2 million, and sales of gloves fell $5.5 million, while the company's bottle and accessories sales increased $4.8 million.

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox's sales climbed 16 percent last year to $272.7 million, driven mostly by an 18 percent sales growth of its power vehicle products; sales of mountain bike products grew 14 percent over the prior fiscal year.
