The chamois cream manufacturer announces $5k grants total in honor of Bike Month. The brand will make $1k donations to four non-profit bike organizations then crowd-source a fifth donation to be announced at the end of Bike Month.

Pleasant Valley, MO (May 6, 2021) – Chamois Butt'r, the ultimate skin lubricant, and chamois cream, believes bikes solve all kinds of problems, from environmental and transportation to health and wellness. In support of National Bike Month this May Chamois Butt'r is running a grant campaign to raise awareness for and make $1,000 grant donations to four established non-profit bike organizations, Outride, Bike Club OKC, No Kid Hungry, and NICA Kansas (the inaugural year for the Kansas chapter, which Chamois Butt'r C.O.O., Curt Shelman, sits on the board).

"We at Chamois Butt'r know that the more people there are on bikes, the more we all benefit," said Kara Mathews, Chamois Butt'r marketing and partnerships manager. "We're passionate about supporting partners that work to incorporate bikes as a solution. We have a long history of supporting grass-roots cycling efforts and have seen first-hand how much value these organizations offer - especially to helping develop confidence in new cyclists. This past year COVID turned cycling into a solo sport, but we know how important the support of a community is. These organizations represent a few of the ways we can contribute to making cycling better for all from mental health to early bike safety education. We hope this campaign inspires people to support one of these great organizations and find ways to create positive change in their own community."

To further engage riders during Bike Month, Chamois Butt'r will crowdsource a fifth non-profit donation recipient through social media during May. Every rider that makes a suggestion for the final non-profit donation via Chamios Butt'r's social and online form will be entered to win a weekly Chamois Butt'r giveaway that includes a year's supply of Chamois Butt'r and other surprises.

So go ahead and think about the people and organizations that have an effect on your bike life, then nominate them for the remaining $1,000 grant using a link on @ChamoisButtr Instagram.

Maybe they'll be selected for the final grant and be able to do more of the work you appreciate (by doing so, you'll also be entered to win a weekly prize).

Here's how you can participate:

  • 1. Follow Chamois Butt'r on Instagram and Facebook.
  • 2. Comment on Chamois Butt'r's bike month non-profit posts to show your support for your favorite non-profit.
  • 3. Follow the link in Chamois Butt'r's Instagram bio to fill out the official form to nominate a non-profit.
  • 4. Watch for winners to be selected and announced on Chamois Butt'r social to find out who wins the swag pack and the final non-profit donation recipient.

Chamois Butt'r will pick a weekly giveaway winner in May (4 total), who will receive a custom Chamois Butt'r prize package. Shipping to U.S. residents only. Weekly swag pack winners will be chosen by Chamois Butt'r staff and featured throughout May's Bike Month on the Chamois Butt'r blog and social media channels. The non-profit bike organization donation will be announced in the first week of June via the same channels.
