SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (BRAIN) — Serotta is now accepting frame and bike orders again and has lowered its prices on frame and repair and re-finishing services, the company announced Thursday.
 
The company said it is negotiating agreements to manufacture frames for other brands.

VAN NUYS, CA (BRAIN) — Easton-Bell Sports has won a civil case filed by a 60-year-old cyclist who claimed that his Giro Pneumo helmet contributed to head injuries he suffered from a crash three years ago.

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Carbon wheel maker Mad Fiber is planning to set up wheel production in Taiwan to serve the OEM market. The company has laid off seven employees at its Seattle, Washington, facility, but is continuing to manufacture wheels there for aftermarket sales, spokesman Jasen Thorpe said.

SANDY, UT (BRAIN) — Todd Tanner is joining wheelmaker Reynolds Cycling as a product manager, the company announced Tuesday.

Tanner, a former pro downhiller with 20 years' experience in the bike industry, reports to Reynolds general manager Jimi Paulsen.

The Colorado-based brand's belt drive system is increasingly getting the attention of European electric bike makers, and the company is launching a new range of products at Eurobike aimed at that market.

The new Chicane tread pattern is optimized for fast course conditions and was developed with top British racer Helen Wyman. Wyman won the European championships on prototype Chicane tires.
