Retailer launches Triathlon School Hawaii

KONA, HI (BRAIN) — Retailer and former racer Oliver Kiel is launching an educational training camp program for triathletes, called Triathlon School Hawaii.

TSHI will camps tailored to fit specific fitness levels, age groups, event goals and gender. Instruction will center around what Kiel calls the "six principal disciplines of triathlon": swim, bike, run, transition, nutrition, and recovery.

The school is owned by Kiel and Velissimo Cycling Destinations. Assisting will be Steven Harad, the former CEO of Blue Competition Cycles. 

Kiel, who owns Kona's Cycle Station Hawaii retail store, is a former amateur triathlete who competed for the German Postal Service Tri team in the 1990s.
