BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Ray Keener will become executive director as well as marketing director of the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association, the organization announced Monday.

Keener will now fill both positions as outgoing executive director Maureen Waddington assists with the transition.

CRESTED BUTTE, CO (BRAIN) — Gary Sjoquist, the director of QBP's advocacy program, has been elected to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, which is in Crested Butte. He will be officially inducted into the Hall at a ceremony during the Interbike show in Las Vegas later this month.

Increase in 29er sales not enough to overcome decline in other bike categories

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — July marked the first time this year that independent bicycle dealers posted a drop in sales from the same month in 2011, according to figures released Thursday by Leisure Trends' Topline Retail Market Overview.
